1˚Day BOLOGNA – ORVIETO – CIVITAVECCHIA

COACH TOUR

Meet your travel assistant and travel companions and start the tour in GT bus in a direction to Florence and Orvieto. Lunch on the way (not included). Stop at Orvieto, beautiful medieval town of Etruscan origin. Ascent with the funicular railway to the historical city center and visit the Duomo, a masterpiece of the Italian Gothic with shining marble and mosaics. Continue to Civitavecchia. Upon arrival, board a motorboat to Olbia/Gulf of Oranges. Accommodation in private cabins. Dinner at your leisure. Overnight stay on board.

2˚Day OLBIA – PALAU – MADDALENA and CAPRERA – COSTA SMERALDA – CANNIGIONE

COACH TOUR

Breakfast at your leisure on board. Disembarkation in Olbia/Gulf of Oranges. Departure for Palau and board on boat for the guided excursion to the islands of Maddalena and Caprera.  Maddalena Island and the archipelago belong to the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park, marine and land protected area of national interest. The archipelago is also known for being the last home of the Hero of Two Worlds, Giuseppe Garibaldi. Spend time visiting the house, which is now a museum of a National hero. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, excursion to Costa Smeralda (Emerald coast). As the name suggests, it is a cost of brilliant green-blue waters with 80 kilometers of coastline surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, dotted with white sandy beaches, hidden coves and islands animated by a vibrant nightlife. Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo are the most important tourist centers of Emerald coast. At the end of the day, transfer to the hotel in the area of Cannigione/Baia Sardinia. Hotel check-in. Dinner and overnight.

3˚Day CANNIGIONE – CASTELSARDO – ALGHERO

Hotel breakfast. In the morning, leave for the Northern Sardinia. You will reach the Costa Paradiso (Paradise Coast) with its picturesque scenery befpre you get to Castelsardo, , picturesque maritime village. Funded by the Doria family of Genoa under the name of Castelgenovese, Castelsardo is a medieval village uniquely situated on the Gulf of Asinara, well preserved and practically untouched, thanks to its unique geographical position. It’s a promontory overlooking the sea, which has been preserved from attacks and destruction over the centuries. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, continue to Alghero, known as the Catalan city. Even today, more than three centuries after the Iberians left, a form of medieval Catalan is still spoken. Hotel check-in, dinner and overnight.
 

4˚Day ALGHERO – NEPTUNO’S CAVES – ALGHERO

Hotel breakfast. In the morning, visit the historic center of Alghero: Porta and Terra Tower, San Francesco church, Torre di San Giovanni and Duomo. Time at your disposal and lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, optional individual visit to Neptuno’s caves, spectacular karst caves, formed by an inland lake and large rooms with colossal and phantasmagorical creations. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

5 ˚Day ALGHERO – CABRAS – THARROS – ORISTANO – BARUMMI – CAGLIARI

Hotel breakfast. Departure for Cabras, town located on the banks of the pond of Cabras, one of the most important freshwater lakes of Sardinia. Visit the Archeological Museum, which houses relics found in Tharrros and in two pre-Nuragic villages. From 2014, it also hosts Nuragic sculptures famous giants of Mont'e Prama, Nuraghic sculptures discovered in 1974 and were representing warriors, archeries and nuraghe models. Continue to Tharros, located at the southern end of the Sinis peninsula. Meet your travel guide for the visit of this magnificent archeological center. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, continue to Ortistano with a short stop to the town founded by the ancient inhabitants of Tharros, fleeing from the town due to Saracen incursion. Departure for Barumini, “Su Nuraxi” nuragic archaeological site best-preserved example of the Nuraghi. It was included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Site in 1997. Continue to Cagliari. Hotel check-in, dinner and overnight.

6˚ Day CAGLIARI – NORA – SANTA MARGHERITA DI PULA – CAGLIARI

Hotel breakfast. In the morning, guided visit of Cagliari: Archeological Museum with ancient stone sculptures, the Giants of Mont’e Prama, Cathedral of Our Lady of Bonaria, religious complex of the Sanctuary (from 14th century) in Catalan-Gothic style and the Basilica, dating back to 1700.  Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, excursion to Santa Margherita di Pula and Nora famous for its archaeological site with remains dating back to the first settlement by the Phoenicians, followed later by the Carthaginians, and finally by the Romans. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

7˚ Day CAGLIARI – NUORO – ORGOSOLO – OLBIA

COACH TOUR

Hotel breakfast. Departure for Nuoro to visit remarkable Museo del Costume (Museum of Costume), three floors of exhibition of the Sardinian civilization collections: cloths, jewelry, textile and wooden artifacts, weapons, masks and farming tools. Continue to Orgosolo n the heart of the mountain area of the Barbagia. Orgosolo renowned its characteristic murals painted on the facades of houses and on the rocks around the village with social, artistic and political content. Outdoor lunch with the shepherds and you can try typical Sardinian meal “porceddu” (roasted suckling piglet). Continue to Olbia. Dinner at leisure. Board on a boat to Civitavecchia. Accommodation in private cabins. Overnight.

Breakfast at leisure on board. Handling the sip formalities and departure to Viterbo, beautiful town with medieval centre. In in the 13th century, Viterbo became the seat of the pope. Guided city tour. Lunch at your leisure and continue in direction to Bologna. Evening arrival to the starting point.
